Fix Error Outlook 0x800ccc0f

This is basically an email management error. It occurs whenever you send/ receive emails in Microsoft Office Outlook/ Outlook Express.

1. Change Email Settings
2. Switch Off the Firewall
3. Load Email Client in Safe Mode
4. Make a New Profile
5. Repair Outlook Settings

Change Email Settings

You might need to deal with Microsoft Office Outlook/ Outlook Express email settings. These settings can be configured with the help of Mail Setup dialog. This dialog is located in the Control Panel window. Fix Error 0x800ccc0f / Error Outlook 0x800ccc0f and avoid Outlook/ email sending error as shown below.

1. Click Start | Control Panel.
2. Click the Category view, select Small icons under View by category.
3. Click Mail | Show Profile.
4. Click the General tab. Select “Prompt for a profile to be used” option. Click Add.
5. Specify a new name for your profile, click OK. Add a new email account, click Next.
7. Change Server Type

Switch Off the Firewall

Your firewall software might be conflicting with your email client program. Switch off the firewall temporarily to check whether the problem solves.

1. Click Start | Control Panel.
2. Click System and Security | Windows Firewall.
3. Click the link “Turn Windows Firewall On or Off”. (Located at the left hand side panel)
4. Switch off firewall and then click OK | Close. Error will not reappear.
Load Email Client in Safe Mode

Your email client program may have a load-time issue. There can be some plug-ins which are not functioning properly. Load the program in safe mode to disable all third party plug-ins to fix Error 0x800ccc0f / Error Outlook 0x800ccc0f.

1. Click the Start button.
2. Type “Outlook.exe /safe” (without quotes) in the Search box.
3. Press ENTER to fix Outlook/ email sending error.

Make a New Profile

Error 0x800ccc0f / Error Outlook 0x800ccc0f appears when your existing profile is corrupt. Profile files located in the Outlook installation folder can be corrupt. Make a new profile.

1. Click Start | Control Panel.
2. Click Switch to Classic View.
3. Click Mail | Mail Setup.
4. Click Show Profiles button. Click the General tab.
5. Check-up the box named “Prompt for a profile to be used”.
6. Click the Add button.
7. Type a descriptive name for your new profile. Click OK.
8. Add a new email account. Click Next. Select appropriate server type, provide required details and follow the wizard.
9. Click Finish when you’re done.

Repair Outlook Settings

Error 0x800ccc0f / Error Outlook 0x800ccc0f appears when Outlook settings are corrupt. Its settings are stored in the Registry. Inappropriate values in the Registry cause your computer to show Outlook/ email sending error.

1. Download RegInOut System Utilities.
2. Install and run the program.
3. Start full scan.
4. Repair all errors detected.
