Check System Requirement

Change Launch Settings


If
Dota 2 lags before starting the game, you need to change launch settings. Follow the instructions given below to change launch settings.

      Close all active programs
2.       Open Steam | GOTO launch options
3.       Right-click on Dota 2
4.       In the input field type “-nod3d9ex” without quotes in Launch Option
5.       Start the game

Change Screen Ratio


In some cases
Dota 2 lags after getting party invite. Follow the procedure given below to fix this problem.

1.
      Accept party invite from anyone who invites you to restart their client
2.       After accepting invite, load Dota 2
3.       Do not accept another invite—just ask them not to invite you second time
4.       Now GOTO Dota 2 graphics Settings
5.       From Graphics Settings, Change Screen resolution from 4:3 to something else
6.       Play Dota 3 without lags

Set Affinity


Dota 2 lag
can be fixed by setting affinity—especially on Quad Core. Follow the steps given below to set affinity.

      Open Dota 2
2.       Get out of game by press ALT + TAB
3.       Now GOTO Task Manager | Right-click on Dota 2.exe
4.       Now Set Affinity | Now select core 0 and 1 only
5.       Start playing Dota 2 smoothly

Disable V-sync

can be fixed by disabling V-sync feature on NVIDIA cards. Here is procedure to disable V-sync.

1.
      GOTO NVIDAI Control Panel
2.       Select Advanced Settings  |Now click on Manage 3D settings
3.       Click on Global Settings
4.       Scroll Down Vertical Sync to Force OFF

Disable Antivirus Program


It could be the reason that security program is using system resources. To prevent
Dota 2 lags, disable antivirus program by applying instructions given below.

      Close all active programs
2.       Right-click on Antivirus Icon sitting on Taskbar
3.       Select Disable until Restart

Repair Windows Registry
