Vista 2012 Virus Removal Tips

Vista Antivirus 2012 belongs to a fake antivirus program specially designed for Windows Vista operating system.
It claims to scan your hard disk for virus infection. It shows dozens of fake infections and prompts you to register the program in order to disinfect the computer. After registration, the user observes he has gotten nothing and has wasted the amount paid for the registration charges. In a single line, we can say that it is a type of online scam.

Here, I am sharing with you Vista 2012 Virus Removal Tips. You are strongly recommended to ignore the false notifications given by Antivirus 2012.
1.     Load a Rescue Disc
2.     Delete Vista Antivirus 2012 Files
3.     Remove the Registry Settings
4.     Disable Startup Entries

Load a Rescue Disc
A Rescue Disc is a self-bootable disc offered by antivirus companies. It is easy to download from official websites of some antivirus products.
The ISO file downloaded from the internet has to be burned on a blank CD/ DVD ROM and then inserting the same in infected machine can help as a good Vista 2012 virus removal tip. Refer the provided manuals for more information.
Delete Vista Antivirus 2012 Files
There are several files stored on your hard disk which are used by Vista Antivirus 2012. Vista 2012 virus removal tip is to delete these files from your hard disk.
1.     Boot your computer in the Safe Mode. To do so, restart it first, press F8 randomly, select Safe Mode with Networking option and press ENTER.
2.     Click Start, select My Computer.
3.     From the following directories, delete the randomly named files:
a.     C:\Users\VikasM\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Templates
b.    C:\Users\VikasM\AppData\Local
4.     Close My Computer.
Remove the Registry Settings
Another Vista 2012 Removal tip is to delete the virus made registry settings in order to stop it from accessing the data. However, modifying the registry is not a simple task. Any unwanted change made in the registry can make your system unstable, that is why, a Registry Cleaner such as the Intel Software Partner RegInOut is recommended rather than modifying the registry manually.
1.     Click Start, select Run.
2.     Delete the following registry entries:
a.     HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\StartMenuInternet\FIREFOX.EXE\shell\safemode\command “(Default)” = ‘”%LocalAppData%\kdn.exe” -a “C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe” -safe-mode’
b.    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security Center “AntiVirusOverride” = ’1′
3.     Close Registry Editor.
Disable Startup Entries
Using System Configuration, disable the startup entries made by Vista Antivirus 2012. Do the steps given below:
1.     Click Start, select Run.
2.     Type MsConfig and press ENTER.
3.     Click Startup tab and disable items with random file names.
4.     Do the same thing for the items in the Services tab.
5.     Click Apply | OK.
6.     Restart your machine in the Normal Mode.
