Exclude Launcher File from Data Execution Prevention

The Data Execution Prevention (DEP) is a security technology introduced in Microsoft Windows operating systems. Sometimes, it leads to Skyrim random crash because of some internal conflicts and improper configurations.

The solution is to exclude the game launcher file from the DEP technology as this unblocks access to game resources. Do the steps given below:

Exit the game completely.
Right click My Computer and select Properties.
Click Advanced System Settings link on the left hand side panel.
In the new dialog, click Advanced tab.
Click Settings under Performance frame.
Click Data Execution Prevention tab.
Select the second option, i.e. Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select.
Click Add, browse the original location of the launcher file and click Open.
Confirm the procedure by clicking OK | OK.
Now, double click the game shortcut on your desktop and start playing it without interruptions.

Update Outdated Device Drivers

Are you regularly updating your device drivers? Have you updated your drivers before a long period? Do the steps given below to fix Skyrim random crash:

Download a Driver Update Utility.
Start the driver scan process. It may take a minute or two.
When the scan results appear on your screen, mark all the driver updates checked and click Update Drivers button.

Remove Outdated Registry Information

The registry information stored in Windows Registry database may contain some entries which are outdated or invalid. Remove such entries, especially from the game registry hives, to fix Skyrim random crash.

Download Skyrim Registry Repair (Reginout System Utilities)
Start the installation program and run it when it finishes.
Full scan the registry and remove outdated information found in it.
